The SD&G Online Archives project is a digitized collection of local newspapers and photos dating back to the 19th Century. The project was graciously funded with the support of the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry. To date, more than 210,000 pages of newspaper and 2,000 photos of the Lost Villages have been digitized and made searchable via Optical Character Recognition (OCR). We encourage you to browse our collection of digitized newspapers and photos. For more information on the source of these materials, read the About page.
Note that all of the textual documents are searchable, so you can seek out relatives, locations, or other interesting facts using the search bar or the advanced search feature. For guidance on how to navigate this site, visit our How to Use This Site page.
This site was created with the generous support of the taxpayers of the United Counties of Stormont Dundas and Glengarry with contribution from Dundas County Archives, Glengarry County Archives and The Lost Villages Historical Society
